BROOKS RUNNING CLUB 9TH ANNUAL DINNER - 8 DEC 2013
Our 9th Annual Dinner was held at Greentown Seafood Restaurant, same place as last year. We prefer to have it here because of the beautiful environment, parking place, good food, reasonable price and most of all, the service there is one of the best. For information, the manager, Mr. Fong and his wife has just joined our club. Registration for our dinner started at 6.30pm with our members coming in endlessly. We are proud to see them coming together with their family members. The dinner started off at 8.00pm. Food were good and delicious and when everyone were seated down, our President, Mr. Alvine Nathan, gave his opening speech. Later Ms Vijaya announced the annual run's winners with Mr. Vijiye giving away the consolation prizes. Beside being our Master of Ceremony, Mr. Nathanael also sang a couple of songs to entertain us. Mr. Gurusamy followed and serenaded us with some beautiful evergreen songs. Soon lucky draw prizes were given out, followed by the top10 winners prize presentation by Mr. Chua Siong Hong while the best performance awards for Men, Women, Men Veteran and Women Veteran were given out by Mr. Nathaneal. The 3 grand lucky draw (3 pairs of Brooks shoes) went to Mr. Nathanel, Mr. Ong Boo Kuan @ Moon and Ms Loh Sau Chan. The much awaited moment finally came for the raffle draw result. The Prize - an Air Asia open return air ticket sponsored by Ravinthiran. Mr Gengan was called upon to draw the ticket. The winner, Encik Mohd Azan could not believed his ears when his name was announced. Dr. Raj gave away the prize. Special thanks to Syazaa who went round selling the raffle draw tickets. Overall, it was a great success, we thanked everybody for their continued support and look forward to our 10th Annual Dinner.

BROOKS RUNNING CLUB 9TH ANNUAL RUN 2014 - 8 DEC 2013
We thank God who has been very kind to us. Giving us blue sky and everything nice on Saturday till Sunday. We did the road markings for the run (using flour instead of paint) on Saturday evening and putting up the tents and banners on Sunday with our dedicated committee members coming as early at 4.00am to help with the preparations.
About 80members turned up and it was a fun filled event. At 7.15am, the President, Mr. Alvine Nathan announced to start the run. As usual our annual run is not a competition speed run but a fun run with question and answer immediately after the run. The distance is 4.8km and the only tips he gave was to enjoy the run and watched out everything around you. Immediately after the run,the President popped out the question. "How many guardhouses you have passed by?" Surprisingly there was only one correct winner and he is Mr. Goh Tong Heng who was the last runner to come back!!! Without thinking he has answered "18".
Breakfast was served to all. Tosai, itali with curry chicken, apom balik, fried mee, coffee, tea and watermelon. By 10.00am all started to leave and to see again in the evening for our annual dinner at the Greentown Seafood Restaurant.
