It was reported that more than 11,000 runners took part in this year Seremban Half Marathon which is one of the most popular running event since 1987. Everything started very smoothly without any hitches. The 21km categories flagged off at 6.45am on the dot and ten minutes later by 10km. Weather was very kind to us, cloudy and cool, a great advantage for us runners especially when the terrain is well known to be tough and hilly. Drinks e.g Gatorade was very generous indeed, lucky draws and so on. Well done to the organiser. We will be back next year!!!

SMILING AWAY WITH THEIR ANGPOWS.

KUALA LUMPUR: Over 11,000 people took part in the Olympic Day Run 2011 at the Dataran Merdeka here this morning, the event's highest number of participants so far.
Last year, the run's seventh edition recorded 7,000 participants. Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said the increase showed that Malaysians, especially Kuala Lumpur residence, were into active lifestyle.
"This is a positive development, a reflection of how Malaysians are taking part in beneficial activities and those that nurture family values," he told reporters after flagging off the 7km run.
